For those members who are not presently on budget billing, now is the perfect time to begin. Your account must be current and billed monthly for one year before you may request going on the budget billing plan. If you elect to go on a budget-billing plan, Taylor Electric will estimate your bill for the coming year and set up equal monthly payments. The estimate is based on past usage and allows for slight increases during the year. Your monthly statement will look about the same as always. It will show the energy used, the current amount billed, and the balance due or amount of credit. You will always pay the budgeted amount by the 20th of the month. You will be exempt from the 3% penalty; however, if you miss a budget-billing payment, the total amount owed on your account is due and your account will be taken off the budget program. As an convenience we offer automatic withdrawal from your bank account and we accept MasterCard and Visa. Therefore, if you're on budget billing, the only step you'll need to take to pay your bill is to call us or e-mail your MasterCard/Visa card prior to the 20th of each month and we'll automatically charge your credit card or bank account.. During the 12th month we will settle all budget billing accounts to pay up any arrearages. Any credit amounts are applied to the next year's budgeted amounts. We also review all accounts to ensure that the budget plan reflects actual usage and adjust the monthly payment accordingly. If you are interested in budget billing or have any questions about the plan, please contact the office at (715) 678-2411. |
